bimco has a diverse team of BIM Managers, BIM Coordinators and BIM Content Developers. Although the responsibility of each role is listed definitively below, the team shares responsibilities and pitch in as a team to deliver our services.

 

BIM Manager

The BIM Manager position is required to perform the duties listed below:

Management
  • Implementation guidance for new and existing BIM software which involves researching and recommending BIM software or applications.
  • Guidance for strategies for future improvement of BIM.
  • Prepare BIM Management Plans, BIM Technical Appendix and Project BIM Briefs.
  • Review client projects, prepare Project Review Reports
  • Manage, coordinate and deliver projects including models utilized for BIM
  • Set up client project models to bimco standards
Support
  • Provide on demand remote assistance via instant messaging software, remote login and phone where required about the use of BIM software, workflows, processes, troubleshooting and management to clients.
  • Respond to all BIM Support queries within a timely manner.
Content
  • Update and maintain the database of bimco BIM Content.
  • Create or modify BIM Content to company and industry standards as requested by clients or bimco in a timely manner.
  • Review and provide recommendations for purchase or download of third-party developed BIM Content.
Standards
  • Develop written guides, standards and workflows for the use of bimco approved BIM software including Autodesk Revit.
  • Review and update BIM Standards as a result of research and development into industry best practice.
  • Create, modify or reject with reason any requested modification to BIM Standards as reasonably requested by Subscribed Users within a timely manner.
  • Coordinate, run and prepare Documentation Standards
Training
  • Deliver training sessions online for bimco’s Subscribed Users.
  • Coordinate and deliver project handover training for bimco edited projects
  • Provide needs-based training sessions to clients
  • Run BIM training sessions modules
  • Run training for project teams based on Project Review Reports and discuss strategies for improvement
Analysis
  • Provide recommendations for the use of BIM analysis workflows on projects which involves researching BIM software or applications that may increase efficiency or quality of deliverables for the Client.
  • Develop, document and run processes for analysis on projects
Software
  • Provide recommendations for the use of BIM software which involves researching BIM software or applications that may increase efficiency or quality of deliverables for the Client.
  • Manage and provide advice for client software as required
General Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high proficiency of knowledge of BIM software and processes as required to provide support to clients.
  • Have work reviewed by other staff for validity, adequacy, method and procedures as well as review other staff members work for same.
  • Liaise, contact & co-ordinate with clients/ consultants/ suppliers as required.
  • Be responsible for the management of all tasks to ensure quality, quantity and timeliness of work product.
  • Typing, filing and consolidation of data.
  • Other – Carry out any other duties as assigned and directed from time to time which may include administrative functions.

BIM Coordinator

The BIM Coordinator position is required to perform the duties listed below:

Management
