Brad Strauss

Director

With a passion for integrating design with efficient workflows, Brad found his calling in BIM.

His background in architecture and documentation gives him a solid grounding for effectively managing high quality BIM deliverables. He has working experience as a BIM Manager leading firms into the new era as a manager, trainer, content developer and documenter.

Brad is an active contributor to the BIM community as a founding committee member of Melbourne's BIM group MelBIM, industry speaker at RMIT and part of the Course Advisory Committee - Associate Degree of Applied Technologies (BIM).

Rachel Strauss

Rachel brings a unique combination of documentation, heritage, technology and people skills to the BIM profession.  Her career spans the residential, commercial and education sectors where she has firsthand experience documenting and modelling using Revit and ArchiCAD platforms.

Rachel is a Melbourne regional lead for Women in BIM and part of an industry steering committee with the Box Hill Institute to achieve course accreditation for a new state government funded Advanced Diploma in BIM.

Sarah Reilly

Operations Manager

With a procedural, structured and organised personality, Sarah assists the bimco team to deliver on our promises and make sure the details of tasks are captured and actioned effectively. As the Operations Manager, she frees up Brad and Rachel's capacity to allow for greater client engagement and involvement in the technical aspects of bimco’s services.

Whilst assisting the team to deliver excellent customer support, Sarah also inducts new clients, monitors support enquiries and maintains training materials and standards databases.

Sarah is equipped with an MBA, Graduate Certificate in Business (Executive Administration), a Diploma of Project Management and a Diploma of Public Relations and actively seeks continuous learning to add to her repertoire of skills.

David MacLeod

David's previous experience implementing and managing BIM systems will bolster bimco's collective knowledge and capacity to support our clients.  David's understanding of BIM is informed by his work leading complex projects through to construction and managing key stakeholders.

Coming on as a BIM Manager, David will be tasked with providing fresh insight and experience into bimco’s full suite of services including management, content, training standards and support.

With an education in Arts and Design, David has an appreciation for design outcomes and leveraging BIM software to achieve them.

Tom Wong

Through dedication to the profession, Tom has positioned himself as one of the few BIM Data Engineers within Australia and brings practical, tested wisdom to the BIM data strategy at bimco.

He has experience working as a National Content Coordinator within large Architectural practice and an applied understanding of strategies for developing and implementing some of the industry's best content + support in BIM systems.

Tom has been awarded the most outstanding graduate within Architectural Computing and has obtained a Graduate Diploma in Education making him skilled in both the understanding and teaching of BIM concepts to bimco clients.

Nick Wilkinson

Nick has worked in the AEC industry for many years working on project types ranging from residential, education, public housing, aged care and conservation works. As a BIM Coordinator, he enjoys the opportunities BIM presents particularly in researching new design tools + methods to assist in Digital Engineering deliverables for improving project outcomes.

With a dedication to growing and developing skills, Nick also teaches Revit at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) to students undertaking the Advanced Diploma of Building Design course.

 

Daryl Guido

Friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable pretty much sums up Daryl. Known as the go-to guy in Revit when working within Architectural practices, he’s earned a reputation for being thorough, seeing things through and delivering on his promises.

Daryl has a wealth of experience getting his boots dirty as a BIM/ Project Coordinator and Architectural Technician across commercial retail, stadiums, health and residential sectors and is a great resource for bimco clients to seek practical BIM advice from.

James Taylor

BIM Content Developer

James has experience building quality BIM objects for various designers and manufacturers in the AEC industry.  Basic and complex parametric Revit content are made with a strong attention to detail.

James researches content with reference to AS, NCC and publications such as the Metric Planning Handbook so he can incorporate smarts such as clearance zones and build quality, practical content to industry standards.

Dipika Wagle

Dipika has a strong foundation in thorough research with the publication of numerous papers including her recent journal titled Strategies for Minimizing Building Energy Performance Gaps between Design Intent and the Reality.

She has a keen interest in Energy Performance Analysis and its application using BIM Technology in the industry.

She applies strong attention to detail and thorough researched methodologies to create intelligent and sophisticated BIM content.

Aida Berdin

With a refined working knowledge of joinery design, modelling and detailing, Aida is rare find in the world of BIM. Her experience in interior documentation interwoven with BIM is valued by our clients practicing in the Interior Architecture space.

Recognising the importance collaboration plays between clients, colleagues, and consultants, she is willing to extend support to achieve desired outcomes for BIM project deliverables.

Melanie Volf

BIM Content Developer

Melanie joined bimco to bolster the Content Development team. Her passion lies in creating spaces and environments to narrate experiences and engagement with an initiative for a sustainable future. She is enjoying using her keen eye for detail while learning new and more complex modelling skills.

Melanie has recently graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Design with a specialization in BIM.
